Oxyfuel combustion is the combustion of pulverised coal in oxygen, to produce a pure stream of CO2. A proportion of the CO2 is recycled to the burner to reduce the temperature of the flame which is produced. Topics of interest include the effects of the oxygen fired combustion process on ash chemistry and modelling and experimental investigation of the flame entering the boiler. Oxyfuel Image
